Can't say as I've ever thought specifically how one's soul physically leaves the body at death. Leave it to Satan -- hiding and waiting to strike like a case of salmonella poisoning. LOL.

Tom, that's even more frightening, to think you witnessed the passing of a soul that was being fought over to the end. I've watched two people die. There was no question but that the angels were in the hizouse and Satan had no chance.

This is indeed what happens, and why it's recommended to tie up the jaws (to prevent the soul returning?) Also to close the eyes as they follow the sight of the soul departing. In the hands of the bright angels or dark demons, whichever it may be.

Thanks for stopping by Shaun. I don't know where the soul comes out for sure but I do believe it exits the mouth with the last breath. It is the experience of my witnessing someone die.
You know I died 10 years ago and I was dead for 90 secands. I had the most weird dream .I dont talk about it much but I am sure what I saw was not a dream as I first just stated. Your brain has about 15 mins before it shuts down from lack of air. I still think about what happenend to me that night 10 years ago. I love to tell you about it sometime
A friend of mine told me that he feel from a three story roof and that his life flashed in his mind before he hit the ground. I asked,"You mean important events of your life?" He replied,"No...my entire life...all of it." He said it was like watching a movie of everything he experienced in life but it was jammed into a few seconds.
I'd love to hear about your experience. Perhaps you could write about it on HubPages. My brother also died for a few moments in a car wreck. He saw himself in the car, then the medics. He saw family members who had passed on.
I believe that each of us has a kind of unique universe within the energy of our souls. It is tiny and massive at the same time.
